I think this needs five balls of it's base body. This looks like it's trying to twist itself between the leg balls, a ball in between might help it not twist that much. For a bug the twist might twist itself apart. If you make this partly a water type. You could say it twists like that, because it a molecule.

+ if it's a molecule worm. It's embodiment of bleach and once it grows into the final evolution, the life cycle keeps going by the adults relaying bleach to keep making the effect going. I don't have everything to explain, but I hope this is helpful for think about and work on for yourself.
